Steel Supply and Formwork and other fabricated steel products - Coonerang Wind Farm and Battery (BESS) Project

The Trustee for MRP Someva Project Trust 1 is inviting expressions of interest for the supply of steel and formwork products for the Sunny Corner Wind Farm and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project. Located in New South Wales, Australia, between Lithgow and Bathurst, this 500 MW renewable energy development is a joint venture between Mainstream Renewable Power and Someva Renewables. The project scope for this work package specifically includes the provision of reinforcement steel for wind turbine foundations, concrete formwork and associated consumables, and various water storage tanks, including potable, rainwater, and fire water systems. A strong preference is placed on the supply of locally milled steel.

The project is currently in the planning phase, with construction anticipated to commence in late 2028, subject to State Significant Development approval. Interested parties are invited to submit expressions of interest through the ICN Gateway until December 30, 2026. Following the selection of main contractors, the project team will facilitate direct engagement between suppliers and the appointed construction partners.

This project represents a significant infrastructure development, expected to generate substantial employment opportunities during both the construction and operational phases. Suppliers should demonstrate the capacity to meet large-scale industrial requirements and adhere to the project's procurement standards.
