    Project Manager (Off-Corridor Cycleway) 3.3.1 TMR is seeking the services of a 1S. Project Manager (Off-Corridor Cycleway). This position will form part of the Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3 project (GCLR3) Integrated Project Team for the Delivery and Close Out phases of the project. 3.3.2 The Integrated Project Team is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the project and executing the directions set out by the Project Supervisory Board. The Integrated Project Team also directs and co-ordinates the specialist advisors. The team is led by the Project Director supported by a management team comprising managers of each of the key work streams. 3.3.3 In the role of 1S. Project Manager (Off-Corridor Cycleway) you will be responsible for the development and management of the off-corridor cycle way infrastructure associated with the Gold Coast Light Rail programs. This position works with a project team that consists of permanent and temporary government employees, contractors, and external consultancies. Key accountabilities include: • Provide high level input into planning, and ensure planning is suitable, appropriate and adequate for the purpose stated in the project requirements and that they are in accordance with the relevant design standards. • Manage the project design options analysis process and cost developments with regard to project scope, constructability, risks, opportunities, constraints, integration with other departmental and government plans/policies and objectives, and impacts. • Manage outputs of current consultancies by ensuring a greater level of accountability of key deliverables. • Coordinate the engagement of contractors and consultants and monitor performance in accordance with contractual arrangements. • Work closely and develop good working relationships with stakeholders, including liaison and negotiation with other areas of TMR, City of Gold Coast and other Queensland Government agencies and external stakeholders in the delivery of the off Corridor cycle-way. • Identify alternative design solutions, and associated risks, that may be applicable to mitigate risks and constraints, and provide opportunities to reduce costs. • Enable informed decision making on project issues by developing timely and relevant written submissions, Project Plan, Communications Plan, briefs, presentations and information papers for project stakeholders and the Project Board. • Identify and manage networks and alliances of all stakeholders and manage the expectations and issues of all parties, including identifying possible political and high risk matters to ensure they are dealt with in a timely and professional manner. • Provide issue and risk assessment recommendations where problems or project variation occurs, or could occur, and where allocated undertake actions to resolve these issues, or mitigate risks. • Provide support and advice on the planning and design process to ensure on-time delivery of project outcomes, including value for money and best practice. • Ensure all quality management procedures are adhered to in order to facilitate the delivery of GCLR2 to a high and consistent standard for both Transport and Main Roads and Stakeholders. • Ensure program plans are current, accurate and consistent with the program vision, and contribute to the successful delivery of the program outcomes. • Monitor budget expenditure flows for projects and programs ensuring accurate financial management, scheduling and forecasting. • Protect the financial position of the project through accurately managing the cost plan, liaising with stakeholders from federal, state and local government to ensure accurate data reflective of respective funding commitments and accurately project the fiscal position of the project. • Take responsibility for overall program progress and use of resources. • Actively contribute to: o training and development opportunities that are identified as necessary to achieve work unit goals; o corporate responsibilities through the appropriate induction processes and participation in other relevant programs; o a safe and healthy workplace that complies with relevant legislation, standards and policies including participating in risk management and other programs from time to time; and o a contemporary workforce through leadership, flexibility and innovation.
