The Department seeks to establish a whole-of-government standing offer for interpreting and translating services (CUAITS2026), enabling State Government agencies and approved buyers to purchase these services. The proposed CUA will include the existing CUAITS2017 categories: culturally and linguistically diverse languages, Aboriginal Australian languages, and Australian Sign Language (Auslan), and may revise or enhance them. The proposed CUA will be mandatory for State Government agencies and approved buyers in the Perth metropolitan area and non-mandatory in regional areas. The estimated panel term is up to five years, with an initial three-year term and one two-year extension option.
