Westernport Water intends to invite Expressions of Interest from suitably experienced contractors for the Design and Construction of the Cowes Wastewater Treatment Plant Next Generation Upgrade.

The proposed works include upgrading the inlet works, modifying the existing bioreactors including installation of diffused aeration, converting the existing digester to storage, and building a mechanical sludge dewatering facility, with associated electrical, control and ancillary system upgrades.

This is an advance notice; the EOI is anticipated to be released on 19 November 2026.
