The Australian Radioactive Waste Agency (ARWA) is responsible for the management, safe storage and disposal of Australia’s radioactive waste. ARWA is undertaking a comprehensive technical program to support the development of long-term radioactive waste management solutions for Australia. ARWA is responsible for implementing a program of R&D to progress technologies which are relevant to the disposal of both low and high-activity wastes to the point where they are ready for deployment. This scope of work is intended to validate previous ARWA TRL assessments, identify any Critical Technology Elements (CTEs) with considerations for inclusion of higher-activity waste streams, deliver a workshop to assess the maturity of those CTEs, and finally to develop maturation plans to progress these technologies to an acceptable readiness level.

ETCS Mobilisation Activities The European Train Control System (ETCS) Program require a single supplier to provide project management support and professional services to support the mobilisation activities for the ETCS Sequence Alliance for the Project Owner. Activities include review and assessment of 40 management plans, prioritisation and planning activities and assistance with alliance monthly reporting development and maturity. This work is a continuation of the advisory support provided by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) during the ETCS alliance realignment phase from May to December 2021 for the ETCS Program. Key resources used for the realignment phase will be leveraged to work on the mobilisation activities. This will provide efficiencies for the time sensitive process in order to meet milestones within the contractual time frames outlined within the ETCS Program Alliance Agreement (PAA). Approval of a sole invitation of PwC is sought to deliver these works due to their previous experience and knowledge of the ETCS program. This invitation will minimise costs in engaging a new party to start the work without any prior knowledge. PwC are a pre-qualified supplier under the Whole of Government Standing Offer Arrangement QGP0050-18 (T3) Professional Services, which reduces the risk to TMR and also provides a value for money outcome which aligns with the TMR Business Principles, and Queensland Procurement Policy.
