Purchase and Removal of Scrap Metal from the Byron Resource Recovery Centre and Council Depot

Tender Details : Council is seeking a contractor to purchase and remove scrap metal and lead acid batteries from its Byron Resource Recovery Centre in Myocum, and Byron Bay Council Depot . The removal of scrap metal is to be handled by the contractor providing the required number of different sized RORO bin(s) and/or skip bins for Council to load with Ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals. The contractor is then expected to collect and transport material to a licensed recycling facility on an as-need by Council basis. The removal of scrap lead acid batteries is to be achieved by the contractor providing an agreed amount of bunded pallets for Council to load, and the contractor to collect and transport to a licensed recycling facility on an as needed by Council basis. It is preferred that the contractor is B-cycle certified as part of the battery recycling.
