The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions is seeking tenders for the installation, dismantle, and removal of Overpass 1 in Albert Park, Victoria. The scope encompasses the full transportation, loading, and unloading of all overpass modules, containers, and loose items between Tottenham Storage Yard and the Albert Park site. Key tasks include footing excavation, cranage, bolting of modules, baseplate grouting, auxiliary item installation, standby event maintenance, and post-event repacking. Infrastructure works are executed across a strict twelve-week build period prior to the Event, with dismantling finalized within six weeks after the Event. The proposed contract has an initial term of three years with a two-year extension option, totaling up to five years.

Stated requirements

• Provision and installation of Contractor’s own Site facilities in accordance with Contractor’s requirements and relevant statutory requirements
• Transportation of Overpass 1 elements (modules, containers, and loose items) between Tottenham Storage Yard (TSY) and Site in Albert Park, inclusive of loading and unloading at both locations
• Installation of Overpass 1 including excavation of clean fill to expose permanent in-ground footings, ferrule cleaning, cranage and bolting of modules for all span, stairs, and hoist platforms, grouting of baseplates, and installation of auxiliary items
• Provision of a Standby Crew during the Event period for maintenance and rectification
• Dismantle of Overpass 1 post Event, inspection of assets, reporting of damage or maintenance requirements to the Superintendent, and repacking into TSY inclusive of cranage
• Strict observation of Event build timelines (twelve-week build period) and dismantle schedule (completed within six weeks post-Event)
• Strict adherence to AGPC’s site safety rules
• Implementation of quality management systems, occupational health and safety management plans, and environmental, recycling and waste management plans specific to the Services and the Venue
